Alfred had no particular desire to stay in the Ministry, since he'd gotten a (very unfavorable) answer to the one question that had been the most on his mind: if he and his crew would be allowed to leave yet. That being said, ignoring a summons from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement seemed like a recipe for disaster.
