Jamie had not expected that. Not in the slightest. He'd expected her to yell at him or throw some insult back at him but instead she was trying to get him to lose the logs in his hands. She succeeded, for the most part, those mostly because he'd been too shocked to really react. And then realized that she'd hurt her hands in the process and any anger he may have felt at her own overreaction was quickly forgotten.

"Let's get those cleaned up," he said a bit quietly as he dropped the remainder of the logs and reached to take her hands and look at them himself.
