Dear Mr. Connolly,I cannot say which I find more astounding: that you can write such an overtly mocking and cruel letter to someone you do not know, or that you are so foolish as to attach your full name to such a letter!
I cannot imagine how you might find my past so amusing or why you bring it up now, but it is ungentlemanly and disgracefully unkind. I hope whatever sport you found in sending that letter is enough to satisfy you so you needn't send another to myself or any other lady.
