One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Jingle Bells
#2
It had been madness. This was madness. The Snow Ball itself had left something to be desired, and while Phie wasn’t someone who required much to be impressed, the event seemed to have something lacking about it; so much that she had almost asked Ludwig to bring her home. Her feet were killing her, and the world seemed to have taken on a slight halo glow; a sign that her headaches were coming back, and she would likely need to lay down.

But she’d been convinced to stay at the last moment.

He was quite charming, and an agreeable dancer which seemed to convince Phie to stay, though she still had her doubts that the rest of the evening would remain hiccup-free. Mr. Morgan had helped her into the sleigh like a gentleman before giving her the blanket. Warming charms helped with the cold, but Phie readily buried her hands in the blanket to stave off the chill that was already starting to creep back in. In the end it wasn’t needed. Phie found herself more animated with him than she had felt in quite some time, and even had warmed up to the point where she was gesticulating with her hands; a blanket was no longer needed.

His next question took her only slightly off guard, and she furrowed her brows, though her smile was still on her face. “I suppose I can carry a tune,” She responded. “Though I don’t think I’d consider myself a singer.”
