Appearance: Though she cannot, in good conscience, quite be called short, Ginny is still smaller than the average, at just a hair above five feet. She is quite blessed in that she has natural curves, but her uncooperative dark brown waves, she feels, more than balances this out.  Virginia possesses equally brown eyes (she would much prefer green, as she feels them more glamorous) set in her round face, and dresses in the latest styles in the efforts of attracting a husband, though with each passing birthday, she becomes less convinced that will occur.  She is right-handed.

As a wolf, her coat is a tawny color.
History: 1863 | Virginia is the second child added to the Carmichael family. Any concern, however small, that Elliot might have resented a younger sibling is quickly dispelled when he takes immediately to the child.

1866 | George is born. Three by now, Virginia is quite fascinated with the young arrival, and promptly declares Hestia (her favourite doll) to be her ‘baby’. She proves from a young age to be well-suited to the role of mother—fortunate, given her circumstances. A two-year-old Cousin Gwenda attempts to steal the ‘baby’, and Ginny’s first act of magic is to summon the doll back to her…and then give her young cousin an earful. This is their first (and certainly not last) quarrel, but also marks the pair as well on their way to friendship.

1870 | Elliot receives his Hogwarts letter in the summer, and departs for Slytherin House in September. Though well-suited to the role of ‘oldest’ sibling, Ginny misses her brother terribly and always eagerly awaits his return for the holidays.

1874 | (A long) Four years after Elliot’s departure, Ginny receives her own letter. With great enthusiasm she joins in on the school supply run, purchasing her wand, cauldron, and other odds and ends. Her favourite shop, however, proves to be Flourish and Blotts by a landslide, and she is reluctant to leave for the (comparable) tedium of purchasing a conical hat. September sees her sorted into Ravenclaw, and she finds she adjusts to school life fairly easily—though she knows it would have been much more of a struggle had she not had Elliot to look after her.

1875 | Ginny is disappointed when Gwenda doesn’t join her in Ravenclaw, though knows that her cousin would be ill-suited to the more studious house.

1876 | In her third year, she adds Ancient Runes and Divination to her roster.

1877 | Elliot graduates from Hogwarts just in time for George to begin. The youngest Carmichael is sorted into —.

1879 | Ginny writes her OWLs and receives admirable scores. Her high grade in Divination proves suspect, however, as she does not predict the tragedy that would follow.

An evening walk on the grounds not long after the receipt of her scores sees Virginia mauled (and her chaperon killed) by a roving werewolf. Though she is fortunate enough to retain her life, it is one very much changed. Virginia is unable to return to Hogwarts, and all three Carmichael children swear an Unbreakable Vow never to willfully reveal her new condition. She would continue to attend family functions for appearances’ sake, and her parents were careful to have her seen about town—lest anyone think anything untoward!—but Ginny bean to keep largely to herself, outside of family and the closest of friends.

1881 | The year she would have made her debut, her parents surprised her by announcing that she was to have a private coming out ball!  Virginia was thrilled—she had been terribly anxious that she could not marry because of her affliction, and saw the gesture as a sign that everything would be alright. She was a modest success in her first season, and though she had thought one young suitor sure to propose, he had moved on to another by the new year.

1883 | Not for the first time, Virginia thinks she’s soon to get an offer of marriage, only for the gentleman in question to become entirely disinterested instead. She begins to worry if there are rumours about her abrupt departure from Hogwarts after all, but no one who she trusts enough to ask knows (or will divulge) anything of the sort.

1884 | Virginia is relieved to be outside of Hogsmeade when the quarantine hits, and cannot imagine what those with her affliction trapped in the small town must be thinking. Save for a reduction in social functions and a distinct lack of extended family, her summer proves to be much the same as those that proceeded it.  She does, however, bemoan the lack of a proper “season” this year, convinced that if she wasn’t ‘good enough’ at 18, she surely won’t be at 22!

1885 | A rough night leads to a rougher morning as November sees a maid all but discover Ginny’s secret—and Ginny accidentally kill her in the fallout. Though her brothers help her dispose of the body, ensuring her secret will not be discovered, this incident affects the witch greatly, as one might imagine.

1886 | Her fondness for Mr. Podmore begins to develop into a full-blown crush. Gwenda marries.

1887 | She confesses her feelings for Mr. Podmore—albeit in a letter—which, embarrassingly, he does not return.

1888 | As her twenty-fifth birthday arrives, Ginny begins to emotionally prepare herself for her seemingly inevitable spinsterdom. After all, who would be so foolish as to think a werewolf could ever find a husband?
Personality:
MATERNAL — PATIENT — INTELLIGENT — CURIOUS — OUTGOING

Other:
Now on the cusp of spinsterdom, Ginny has all but given up her efforts of finding a husband given their historical habit of failing miserably.
