An affronted huff was all the reaction Jin deigned to give his friend as he was accused of being violent. (Which, fair. They’d proven that at least once unfortunately.) Still, it was meant in jest and he haughtily raised his chin with a little mutter of “and don’t you forget it” before handing off the shiso leaves. As Moon-ssi confessed to not even knowing what they were looking for anymore though, Jin huffed a small laugh.
He dug through his pockets and pulled out a small notebook. Inside, there was a sketch of the little yomogi but he had to flip past a few doodles and random prose he’d scribbled to get there. Finding the page, he held it open for Moon-ssi to see. “Here,” he offered generously. “I took a sketch before we left so we wouldn’t have to bring our books,” which they hadn’t thankfully. Jin felt much free-er to traipse around with an armful of herbs without having to worry about his textbooks. Or his wand, he noted absently. He must have left it back in the classroom too— whoops.
“I think I’ve seen a whole bunch of it before in a clearing just up ahead,” he mused thoughtfully as he handed Moon-ssi his notebook. Distracted, Jin began to wander in that direction wondering if they were in the part of the forest he thought they were…
