Grieving Grimstones
for Ruth Lockhart, Elias Grimstone, @"Anthony Grimstone" & Margaery Lockhart; by extension Daffodil GrimstoneThe extended Grimstone Family has been hit hard by SWP #13, losing Lucille Grimstone, family matriarch and the glue that holds them together, in addition to Calvin's/Margie's father and Rue's husband, Magnus Lockhart. Margie made it a week into Hogwarts before the catastrophe so is handling it all from afar and Rue is positively devastated. She, Calvin and Simon, once the dust has settled, will relocate to London to live with Tony for a while, if not permanently. Simon was with Ruth at the time of the disaster and it's Going Great.
 Calvin Elias Lockhart Jorge Benito | Calvin was at the Irvingly Harvest Festival when the fog began. He, Lock and Lucille were enjoying a treat when the mist began and the panic erupted. Lock tried his best to get both Calvin and Lucille away, but only by sheer luck and one hearty push, did Calvin make it beyond the mist and into Hawthorne Hollow as he panic-ran away from the situation. He wound up at Eavan Miller 's farm by nightfall after lots of wandering, where he was well-taken-care-of overnight, but was too panic-stricken to give away much in the way of details. After the camp is setup the next day, Eavan took him back to be reunited with his mother and grandfather, but he has yet to speak about what happened. How long THAT lasts is up to you! But the poor kid is traumatized. |
 Simon Grimstone Jerome Flynn | Father to Elias, Ruth and Tony. Simon comes from Portsmouth and a muggle, working class family. He is skilled in carpentry and - like his father, brothers, and most of the men in the area - apprenticed and worked as a shipwright in the local dockyards. Through industry troubles, he has always struggled to make enough to support his family, though both he and his wife were adamant about giving their children a full education. Proud as he is of Elias' successes, he has always felt awkward accepting the benefits of it in return, which have seen them living a more comfortable life (though Simon continues to have quite a gruff attitude about most middle class society). He has also always struggled with the magical/muggle barrier, feeling a little like an outsider in his own family - but when Ruth and her husband moved to Irvingly, Simon and Lucille followed suit. His occupation in Irvingly is open, whether carpentry-related or something entirely different: he may have seen Irvingly as a second chance of sorts, to be less distant from his children's lives - but he's basically a fish out of water all round! As personality goes, Simon isn't so different from his children: he works hard, has a dry sense of humour (and at heart, maybe he’s a romantic), but he is also hot-headed and very, very stubborn. Margie is his little best friend and she shadowed him frequently until her time to go to Hogwarts arrived. With Lucille lost to the mist, how he is handling it is up to you, but arguably, it's probably Not Well. MJ is (and therefore the rest of us are) very attached to his suggested PB. xD |
