"Sally" is a female-presenting WC character between 20-60 and otherwise everything to do with their background/ history is open. Sally is a bedfellow in the most literal sense of the word — she and Diligent share a bed in a one-bed flat. He pays the rent, so she benefits financially, and she has her life slightly more together than him (not a high bar to clear) so he benefits from having her around to remember things like restocking tea and telling the landlord when something is broken. They are generally friendly but do regularly argue — particularly when he misses the rent payment and they have to move (she holds some of her own money back and will rent rooms-by-night if she can't stay with friends in these situations, until he finds another place and convinces her back).

Would she spend the evening tending to his black eye if he got in a bar fight? Yes.

Would she pay his bail if he were taken in on a petty criminal charge? No.

Would she leave a tea out for him if he overslept in the morning? Yes.

Would she take his side in a debate if they were out at a pub together? No.

Do they occasionally sleep together? Yes but it's not a thing so don't make it a thing.
