He saw the instant it happened. When something in his wife’s gaze shifted and suddenly she wasn’t there with him anymore. She was in the dark, trapped and unable to move, with him and Fallon miles away, desperately searching for her. “Marie,” He tried saying her name, but it wasn’t enough to pull her from the depths of her mind. He had to do something. His heart was racing in his chest but try as he might, he couldn’t move his legs.
