Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

UC/MCAB | REP 4+ | OPEN HOUSE

What: The Nott Collection Open House
Who: The Notts (well, Hadrian) is opening just the ground floor and gardens of the family manor to visitors for the weekend, including UC/MC society and friends, as well as interested academic/magizoologist/herbologist types (can be working class if they are vouched for by a MC/UC guest).
Cost: N/A, although Hadrian will be schmoozing for sponsorship of his vague future expeditions~
Where: Hellington Cross, the Nott country house in Seething, Norfolk
Why: To "educate", i.e. show off Hadrian's natural history collections to the public. (Also to show off that he's Doing So Great after his divorce, shhh.)
When: Daytime, 19 & 20 April / Hadrian will invite any likely sponsors to stay on for dinner & drinks

Hadrian's collections have been spread throughout the ground floor rooms of the house, through which people are free to wander, museum-esque. Think glass cabinets and drawers and jars of exotic oddities, pinned insects and skeletons, plant samples and pressed rare flowers and botanical sketches some might be Cordelia's work or discoveries, as well as a wide variety of stuffed taxidermied creatures (muggle and magical) dotted around the place. Probably also some appropriated artifacts from remote tribes and foreign cultures.

He also has a living menagerie of not-especially-domesticated creatures who roam around the house and grounds at liberty. Think snakes and peacocks and jobberknolls, zebras and dik-diks and fire crabs. There is also a tame winged tiger called Nebuchadnezzar.

There will be a self-replenishing buffet of refreshments in the drawing room opening onto the patio for anyone who wants to mill around and socialise instead.
