Basil,
Thanks for fixing my scarf, and I happy to say it looks as good as new! I promise I won't turn it to stone anytime soon. I'm afraid it's getting a little too warm to wear it around, but once the school year starts up again, it will be a standard part of my outfit.
As for the wand... I'm afraid Fig has forced it upon me. I shall be watching Seamus for a few days this summer while they are off on an adventure. She explained it to me, but I can't say I was paying too much attention, only because she and Edmund are going somewhere somewhat dangerous, and I was told no tombs, no caves, no Egypt.
Apparently their governess quit, although Fig won't tell me why.
Perhaps you would like to assist me in keeping him entertained? Surely you know how to keep a four year old entertained a bit more than myself. You can teach him how to play croquet, and I will teach him archery.
Until then, I will be keeping myself busy with the book you sent. Thank you, again.
Sincerely,
Gus
