Hudson seemed like a person who had adventures, the kind of adventures that were free to first sons or people of the middle class who lacked familial responsibilities. These were things that may have been more accessible to him had he not chosen to disappoint his father by going into Quidditch — or had he not been caught with a man by his father. He regretted the latter, and would to his grave, but could not claim to regret the former. So: little travel for work.
"Nothing nearly as exciting," Cash said. He couldn't tell Hudson about the thing with Fisk, after all. "Although I got stuck in a bit of a time loop." He shrugged his shoulders, as if to suggest that there was nothing to discuss there. He leaned forward to look at the whiskeys.
"Tell me about this science," Cash said, skeptically — but he hadn't taken a sip yet.
