If Genie's vanity extends to enjoyment of fashion, make up and personal grooming in general then she would totally be Violetta DeCroix 's "type" . I can see them being quite good friends, perhaps shopping at upper class boutiques together and Vee would with Genie was a slytherin so they could spend time together in their dorm discussing the matter. They would also bond over their distance for herbology and reluctance to get their hands dirty.

Fifth year Benedict Hunter loves COMC and his father owns pet shops so they would certainly have a shared interest. He is a very friendly boy and easy to make friends with. He may even have flirted with her in the last few years. Only to be corrected by her on the correct "properness" of male/female friendships haha.
