Faustus Prewett

The distance between Mrs. Bagshot's house and Mrs. Longbottom's was hardly worth justifying a carriage ride, especially not when it was so pretty outside. The snow beginning to fall, the crisp cold air hitting her face. Faustus's presense beside her. She hated walking alone these days, the very thought of it set her trembling and so she had spent much less time outside than previously. And yet she longed for the fresh air, especially air that did not hold the stink of London. Besides, it was a quiet moment without the children, something that Faustus and herself had yet to have. Mainly because Malou was loath to be away from the children, and for their part they seemed loathe to be away from her as well.

So here they were, strolling through Padmore Park taking a "short cut" (actually it was more of a long cut, but the excuse was nice enough to take up the phrasing). Everyone had been anxiously speaking of the storm that was anticipating rolling in, but Malou found herself disbelieving them. Instead she let the snow fall of her face as she looked up at the moon. It was certainly falling heavier than it had been when they had left Mrs. Bagshot's but she didn't mind.

"It's beautiful out here." Malou sighed, leaning into Faustus's side as they walked.
