He meant it too. Trying to explain the chaos and trauma of the day to anyone who wasn't there was going to be nigh impossible. "I'll settle the bill while you finish, but no rush." As much as he wanted to sleep, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to leave just yet. Still, he ought to make it so they could take off whenever she was ready and so he unfolded himself from the table and went to the bar to have the meal added to his tab.
