Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

'Til You Can't

Her Sunday was wildly full, a stop at her mother's house where she deliberately changed the subject about her wedding at least five times. Daff was going to keep this small if it killed her. Smaller than Dahlia's, just a little backyard wedding, all family and friends close enough to be considered as such. She was still working up the courage to ask Mrs. Grimstone if they could hold the reception in their garden in Irvingly, but she hoped it would be alright. Obviously they couldn't do it here and leave Mr. Grimstone out, so she had thought of that solution quickly enough. Nothing was cemented, not even a date yet, though she supposed she and Elias should narrow that down, since they would both prefer it was sooner rather than later.

Daff had been thankful to escape with the chore of dropping off a basket of food for Jack on her way to Elias'. Being afforded the ability to visit unchaperoned with permission was such a lovely perk. Not that it had stopped them in the past, but nobody could say anything about it now! With Delly at the flat now too, Daff found herself intruding on the workshop more and more, not that Elias minded, but she supposed she thought it more prudent than putting her roommate in an awkward situation.

Approaching Jack's townhouse, Daff felt the warmth of the late winter sun on her cheeks and smiled at the light breeze following her down the street. She hummed to herself as she swung up the stairs and knocked loudly on the door. She wasn't brash enough to just walk in, but she did think about it every now and then. Daff didn't want to cause any trouble for him, even if she considered him a brother. A few minutes passed and she knocked again. Was he not home. "Huh," she huffed aloud, usually he was home this time of day.
