Dear Ms. Arundell,
Ma insisted I start my letter this way, saying it is inappropriate for me to get into the habit of calling you Kitty… but either way, I just wanted to send this owl because I thought of you on Christmas morning. One of the local boys from the town near where I live brought by a bag of toffees for us. I remember you told me near the end of last term that you liked toffees so… well, here they are. Ma said they are homemade and some of the best from this part of Ireland. (She might be exaggerating but I hope you like them anyway.)
Have you started studying for the next term? I refuse. Pa thinks I’m going to fall behind worrying so much about the quidditch team but we’ve been doing alright haven’t we, Kitty? Except etiquette I guess… that’s miserable.
Anyway, I hope you’re having a good holiday!
your friend,
Callum Mr. Finnigan
