Ben frowned. He'd meant questions on the assignment. Perhaps he should have specified. He'd thought third, fourth, and fifth years would be slightly more focused than the new students in his flying class, but perhaps that was the wrong assumption to make. Less experience than Professor Pembroke and more than you, he might have said; it was accurate and probably the only thing Headmaster Black cared about at the moment, but probably wouldn't come across as very professional. Neither would telling them that he'd once been arrested by Muggles in Portugal and probably had more experience in the area of Portuguese prisons than Professor Pembroke.

He shifted awkwardly on his feet. "Like I said, this is a very temporary thing. Just until they hire a replacement for Professor Pembroke. But, uh, I did spend a good deal of time in Muggle communities while I was traveling, so that's mostly my experience. America and Canada."
