"Thank goodness," Normally Febby would have blushed a little at the compliment, and though she did still pass him a girlish smile, it wasn't exaggerated as it once would have been. Now that was something new and she had no doubts she could figure out why. She didn't doubt his sincerity either (though maybe she should have, but what girl didn't like getting a compliment?), it didn't quite hit home as hard as it used to. She blamed Edric.
Casting a look at Mrs. H. over her shoulder, Febby gave the sweet kitty on the counter one last pet. "Well, aren't you sweet? Should I leave this with you or just wait and come back another time?" She wondered if she could send it to London to have it looked at, but supposed it really wasn't that pressing. It wasn't like she could get to London any time soon and if she could, getting her wand fixed was not first on her list of things to do, either.
