"Sorry," Gideon offered. There was little that could be done by it. But, luckily for her, with the fog she couldn't even do magic. And he truly did feel that if it was just a superficial crack, he could have it fixed for her quite quickly. If she did need a new wand, there were plenty she could try out or he could attempt to salvage what was in her wand. That would take a bit longer but it could possibly be done.
Then she mention the toads and he groaned. "Unfortunately, one of them became far more acquainted with me that I'd have preferred," he answered with a sigh. He settled on a stool located behind the counter and watched as Adonis looked over at him before looking back to the girl, clearly deciding he liked her attentions more than what Gideon would give him. "One fell behind me when I was stringing up the lanterns outside and frightened that scary beast back in here," he said motioning to the traitor of a cat, "Then one landed right on my head. Knocked me to the ground. The bastard was heavy."
