Irene is a petite witch, standing at just over five feet tall, with modest curves (too modest, in her own estimation). She has dark brown wavy hair and deep brown eyes. Though her eyes are framed by strong brows, the rest of her features are delicate, with a slightly upturned nose and full, defined lips. 1875 | Irene is born to Herbert and Winifred Fudge of Godric's Hollow, their third child and second daughter.1877 | Paxton is born.
1878 | Sunday is born.
1879 | Irene performs her first act of magic: restoring a long-dead rosebush to full bloom. She's quite pleased that she managed to create something beautiful out of nothing.
1880 | Whilst on a family vacation at the seaside, both Holliday and Paxton make their first displays of magic. The former transfigures a muggle toddler into a turtle and the latter causes a bolt of lightning to electrocute a local fisherman. Irene is, quite frankly, mortified at the mess her siblings made, but at least the Ministry is there to take care of things afterwards.
1881 | Grandfather passes away while on the job, and Irene is heartbroken. Granny also joins the family at their home in Godric's Hollow.
1882 | Papa's investments made with his inheritance from Grandfather pay off handsomely, and the family moves to Sussex to open a seaside resort. Irene is utterly enchanted with the idea of living by the sea and is beyond excited to settle in to their new home on the resort.
1883 | The Sanditon Resort opens to a successful summer season. Irene is fascinated by all the people who flock to the resort – especially the socialites and gentlemen among the upper crust. She finds herself wishing she could live such a magical life, and that dream sticks with her as she grows up.
1884 | Irene is taken by surprise when Granny decides to marry Uncle Jed! It seems her family is bound and determined to be as unconventional as possible – but Irene supposes that she can be happy if Granny is happy.
1886 | Irene departs for Hogwarts. The Hat is torn between Hufflepuff and Slytherin, but after some hemming and hawing settles on the latter. She settles in nicely for her first year, and finds herself especially enjoying Charms, although she doesn't care to get her hands dirty in Herbology.
1887 | Tragedy strikes the summer after her first year: Papa passes away when the Wizarding World Market explodes – but lingers on as a ghost; though Irene is glad he hasn't shuffled off this mortal coil entirely, it's still not the same as when he was a living, breathing man. On top of this, Holliday's closest friend is turned into a werewolf, and her older sister doesn't immediately cut the connection. While Irene sympathizes with Miss Urquart, she quietly fears that her sister's association will reflect poorly on her before she's able to even properly debut.
1888 | Irene chooses Divination and Arithmancy as her electives.
1890 | Irene is disappointed to be passed over for prefect, but decides it would be uncouth to express as much. She throws herself into studying for her OWLs, and makes a strong showing in Charms and Transfiguration especially.
1891 | Holliday debuts into society, and Irene is anxious to join her as a debutante – but first she has to make it through her NEWTs!
1893 | Irene has spent much of her seventh year preparing for both her NEWTs and her debut. She dreams of meeting a rich, handsome gentleman with a house both in country and in town, and who would of course make summer trips to the sea. She can only hope that her family's eccentricities won't scare him away!
