Of all the potions they were to learn this year Wrath had been the most eager to learn this one. Despite the fact she couldn't go on to become an Auror as she hoped Wrath knew Veritaserum would still prove useful. What better way to track down criminals then having a way to ensure any suspects would tell the truth when questioned then dosing them with Veritaserum?
As most of the potions she tackled so far this year, this one proved to be very complicated. The antidote was also challenging as well, if the notes were any indication. She made sure to read the instructions and listened to Professor Valenduris carefully, not wanting to miss a thing.
When the time came to start the potion, she took a few extra minutes to reread the instructions before getting up to gather the ingredients she would need. It certainly was a complicated potion and she wanted to do as well on it as she could. Besides it never hurt to reread potion instructions before beginning, best way to avoid making mistakes.
Once she had her ingredients, she returned to her cauldron. Checking the instructions again, she prepared the ingredients then added them to the cauldron, giving the required wand waves and select stirs as instructed. So far things seem to be going well but at this stage she couldn't be sure. Not that she was prone to messing up potions, it was one class she did quite well on, unlike Transfiguration. She still regretted not getting a high enough grade to continue it into her NEWTs but there wasn't anything she could do about it now.
