Taking a tentative sip of her own cocoa, she sighed in relief as the chocolate slid down her throat easily, not too hot, and rich enough to sooth the cold that had settled along her skin in the wake of the rain. She listened to his explanation as she sipped at her cocoa. Win could understand where he was coming from, she supposed. It was two very different lives. She for one, was very glad to have him home.
Grinning as he joined her on the bed, Winnie curled into him automatically, careful to keep her cold feet off of him, still juggling her own mug. "Little." Warmer that way. "But drink your cocoa first, don't want it to get cold." She sighed, so content. "I'm glad you're home." She added, not as an afterthought, but felt it needed to be said. It was true too. He had come back just at the right time. Not that Win could begrudge him his travels, she envied his adventures, but it was nice to have a close friend to lean on these days.
