Yuri was glad that he coulnd't quite add fire to the list that included flesh and stone of 'things that he had been' in his relatively short (long?) life. Even if his nice new winter term suit was looking rather beleaguered around the edges and he was sure he would smell of soot for the rest of the day at least.

Yuri nodded rather earnestly at Professor Darrow, trying exceptionally hard to be the stiff upper lip Englishman, inspite of his rather ratteled nerves. When told to cast, Yuri took the offensive position and attempted to cast a binding spell, hoping to pin Miss Mooney's arms in an inoffensive position! At least this way if she decided to barbeque him again her aim might go wide.
