It was the final duel and Malcorvus wasn't at all surprised he made it this far. Even if he lost the final match being second wasn't anything to be disappointed in. His personal pride however, wouldn't settle for anything less than winning the competition and he fully intended to give it his best shot.
Malcorvus listened to the rules once again, his mind more focused on his strategy than the actual rules. He already knew them by heart and his memory was still as sharp as it ever was he certainly wouldn't forget them. As tradition meant something to him, he formally bowed his opponent before taking his position in the dueling circle and prepared his opening spell.
As was his habit, he used a non-verbal spell, preferring not to give any hint as to which spell he would use. For his opening spell he cast a reflection shield, designed to reflect any spell cast at him right back to the caster.
