For a number of years, Harriet grew out rather than up, rendering her curvy before womanhood even kicked in. Fortunately, towards the end of her time at Hogwarts, she shot up to five feet flat in height, balancing out—though not entirely mitigating—her size. This plumpness persists in her face and her rear, though the latter is typically disguised by her bustle (thank goodness for fashion!). Her dark hair, dark eyes, and complexion betray her Tamil/Punjabi heritage, and she dresses fashionably as any young lady should. Harriet is left-handed.History:

Being the baby of the family instilled an almost perpetual naivety in the young Harriet, who often found herself simply doing what she was told and not asking too many questions out of an innate trust towards those around her.The "Muggle"
Growing up, she scarcely knew her older brother and her cousin Oliver who, while ostensibly residents of the same household, were away at a magical school she often fantasized about attending too, much as many a young girl might fantasize about being a princess. She proves closest to Victoria, only three years her senior, and has in comparison a rather dull childhood—though one conspicuously full of good luck.
Much to everyone's surprise but Harriet herself, who had designated all her birthday, eyelash, and shooting star wishes in that direction, she is invited to Hogwarts for the fall of 1877. Her parents are, unsurprisingly, less than thrilled, but she is practically vibrating with enthusiasm as she boards the train, arrives at the castle and is sorted into Hufflepuff. Would it be a bit more exciting if her brother was there to show her the ropes? Yes. Was she going to let his absence bring her down? Never!The Witch
Knowing her parents would prefer she have a ~normal life after she completes her schooling, Harriet adds only muggle studies to her roster of courses in her third year. When the time comes to take her OWL examinations, she performs modestly. Wanting to appease the family (they've never been thrilled by magic, and her elder brother's death had a profound effect on everyone), she elects not to return for her sixth year, though regrets this decision almost immediately.
The conclusion of her magical schooling sees Harriet spend two years in muggle finishing to smooth out the "rough edges". By now, her two eldest sisters are married and Victoria is well on her way, leaving Harriet to wonder what her own future has in store. She has some flirtations in the years to follow and even one courtship, but she chooses to break it off before it can become serious as her childhood crush on cousin Oliver blooms into something more substantial. Fortunately, it proves to be something on his end too, and she is overjoyed to accept his proposal of marriage in 1887.The Years to Follow
What's even more exciting? Oliver is not dead after all, and returns from spending several years in the wilds (well, Canada, which is rustic enough to qualify, in Harriet's estimation). Perplexingly, he keeps accusing Oliver of leaving him to die; as such, Harriet is convinced he has become quite addled by his time away, and fully supports the family decision to institutionalize him—for his own good, of course.
