The only child of Zamen's first wife, when Iman had trouble convincing again, Zamen married two other women. As such she has half-siblings through Zamen's second and third wife that she is varying degrees of closeness to.
Meryem certainly doesn't look the part of her job, other than having more muscle tone than the average women of her wealth status would. Instead, she is quite petite, she is easily overlooked or lost in a crowd standing at only four foot eleven with a slightly larger than average build. Her face, however, is a little puffy with baby fat she never quite grew out of. While she never seemed to get the memo to grow taller, she did hit puberty early and is quite curvy in the hips and chest.Quidditch Background:
Her hair, while long with a faint wave, is typically kept pulled back and covered under coverings that match that day's outfit or by the hood attached to her kaftan. Meryem has dark brown eyes and writes and uses her want with her left hand.
While Meryem had been granted access to brooms from a young age, flying was only permitted. Quidditch was deemed unlady like and therefore forbidden. It wasn't until she was fourteen and meeting her betrothed for the first time that it became an idea that could potentially come true. He was six years her elder and played professionally since leaving school and offered to teach her. It was likely an offhanded comment when she expressed interest but she latched on. Have been, in a sense, granted permission to learn from her would be husband her parents consented to her playing.Educational Background:
At first it was a fun thing for her and her betrothed to bond over, but when it became apparent she had the prospect to do well competitively he started to get cold feet. When it came between her new found love and a husband, she chose quidditch. Since then she has played competitively at both a local and national level, and now, for the first time, internationally.
Her gender left her with little other options but to be schooled at home under the care of her mother and a governess. As such, her education was primarily focused on magic deemed useful to running a household such as simple charms and potion. She proved to be a natural at potion-making and herbology. Since starting quidditch, she has insisted upon becoming better with her numbers and language skills as she'd quickly grown tired of asking the men to do such for her. She has picked up a decent amount of conversation English and French, but cannot read either. As well since starting Quidditch, she has started to pick up a collection of defensive magic, however, is not at a dueling level.Other Notable Events:

Over all quiet and reserved, being in the spotlight is not a natural state for her. She'd far rather be working behind the scenes and as such tends to leave much of the talking to other members of the team when at official events. Once the pressure of publicity is away, she warms up a little and is far more comfortable with her teammates and family than any stranger. Even then, she watches more than she listens. She wears her heart on her sleeve and shows her emotions easily. While she isn't proper by all means, she is easily embarrassed, particularly with attention to herself, and doesn't quite know how to handle complemented. A dedicated, hard worker, Meryem takes any task she is given and puts 110% percent into it.
