Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
If I return your notes with a letter, will you promise to do something? Whatever the letter says, even if it doesn't seem relevant, will you copy it back in your own handwriting and send it to me?

~~~ but I'm stuck trying not to come off crazy ~~~
I've been haunted by shadows most of my life. Sometimes they're distant and I can ignore them. Sometimes they're too close for me to think about anything else. They've never touched me yet, but I worry they will. I don't know what will happen if they do. Some things help drive them back. Nothing seems to work forever.
Any time I try to talk about this, people look at me as though I'm crazy. Or they hear something else entirely, like you did that night.
I don't know how widely spread it is. My siblings seem to have it. I suspect it's the reason my father is the way he is. Beyond that I don't know.
You have my sincerest apologies for failing to fulfill my promise. I tried to trace what I saw to the best of my abilities, though admittedly I've never been much of an artist. I presume you were writing about the curse. I'm sorry that this method of communication about it isn't a viable one.
Should you change your mind, I remain open to working with you towards a possible solution.
Ezra stared at her response for a few minutes after receiving it. He didn't doubt she was being truthful, that she had tried and that she regretted having failed, but he was still a bit in shock. None of it? He'd expected some degree of interference, but she hadn't gotten a single word?
Miss Hunniford,
I suppose it was never going to be that easy.
I appreciate your concern. It's probably best if we close the subject.
