Dept. of Intn'l Coop Translator MCPB | G'83 | rep 8 | unattached She resurfaces with new toys in tow. Backstory: This guy. He's a ployglot with a thirst for travel and experiences. He did as much as he could in the months after graduating before settling into a job that allows him to do both still, though the travel not as often as he would like. He's fluent in several languages and learning more. He's pretty good at them and very comfortable flirting in all of them. Friends: Anybody around his age/station/occupation that would know him from Hogwarts or the Ministry. He's gregarious and hardworking and takes his job seriously. At school he was adventurous and chatty, easy to work with and hang out with! Hurls: Male or female, around his age/younger for the ladies, around his age/older for the gents. Approaching 30 he's being looked at to settle down and start a family soon, but he's not too sure about that. He's a bit of a commitment-phobe, but hey why settle? #thrupplegoals #polyshipping Co-Workers: Could realistically be anybody at the ministry that has international aspects!

Upon reading the app, I have concluded that Aldous is A Fan <3

Beyond that, I have a potential hurl in Gideon Browne (who doesn't want the twinst?) who is affable and lowkey bi, and Persephone Broadmoor who is decidedly less affable BUT who is Intellectual and appreciates other people who are intellectual. She can also hassle him for translation work.

@"Fallon Hatchitt" has probably needed help translating stuff for various cases. Languages aren't her strong suit, but could see them maybe getting along?

Diti will hunt him - because she's a thirst trap, however she is a polyglot so there is chat possibility for them there, even if he just wants exposure to some rarer languages.

Maddie interviewed to be a translator, but her gaurdians ditched the offer letter, so she didnt take up the post.

Vera is a potential hurl - she's bi and aware she likes girls but wouldn't know what to call it.

Karina is available for mistressing, and there are men looking for patrons as well like Alexi.

Thaddeus is older than him, but I could offer him as a friend.

— Caltheus Rookwood is not Ministry but his fam are international diplomats so it's likely Dean might have heard of his family; he's also a polyglot (I can't remember how many languages - all the romance, some Asian & SE Asian languages, Mermish and some Germanic as well) so they'd likely get along!

Ford would also be a yearmate (thanks for doing the math Beanie I would not have done it correctly >>) NVM Kit is better at math than everyone and Ford was a year BELOW Dean :P

Other MC men around his age are Reuben Crouch (who probably shouldn't be friends with him if Aldous gave him the seal of approval lol) or Ezra Applegate (who could be an interesting thread if you end up hurling him with Rosalie Hunniford).

Jules and Oz are also Ministry but unless you have ~good hooks they probably don't have the most overlap there.

Anthony here obviously wouldn't have gone to school with him but they would have been a year apart and are close in age now and could be friends.

Beatrice Daphnel and Delphine Hunniford are hurl options and Delly also works at the ministry as does Locklyn MacCoinnich.

edit: I suppose the potential for Locke to be a hurl as well but I think I'd need a thread to get a feel of what Locke would even think of him first. I think positively but I'm not sure.

lol yes I try to avoid having too many peeps in the same year as Elsie, given I played so much of her school years. Dean is pretty good about keeping his professional/personal lives separate, so even if Aldous is a fan, it wouldn't stop him from hanging with Ben.
