I have the most thrilling news to share; I will be getting married this spring! Elias bought me the most beautiful ring for my birthday and proposed. I told Mama and Papa last night at dinner. We are very excited and cannot wait to share this with you!

Daffy! Dearest darling Daffy!

I am so overjoyed at your news! I can not wait to hear of every second regarding his propsal. How soon can you come for a visit? I shall bake your favorite cookies and you can tell me over tea. And as soon as you've finished the story you shall have to tell me of your plans for a wedding. Spring! How soon and how lovely that shall be! You must tell me how I can help make your wedding as magical as you made mine. Oh do please let Elias know how happy I am to have him joining the family.

Darling Dahlia,

I have some time Sunday morning if you're free. I would love to see you. I must admit it was nothing over the top, which is how I would have preferred it to go anyway, but it was lovely. It's very me, the ring, did it take you long to get used to wearing one? I catch myself fiddling with it all of the time and worrying I'm going to get it dirty or break it.

Of course Sunday works. Even if I had plans you know I'd cancel them for you. Call any time.

That of course sounds exactly like you, but I know if you said yes it is special no matter how simple it may seem. Truly I doubt it was simple, but you leave a lot to be implied in "nothing over the top" and now I find I'm unsure if this is by your measure of over the top or mine.

Honestly I am still getting used to wearing my ring. It feels more normal now than it did when Quin first placed one on my finger, but still I am very aware of it. I should also admit that I'm very aware of it when it is off my finger.
