Once a very promising professional Quidditch player, Victory's entire life imploded when his brother caught him with his then-lover who got imprisoned while Victory was sent to an asylum. A stay in an asylum and a disownment later, Victory lives as a publicly known gay man. He was once very jovial, friendly and carefree but now is a grump who rarely ever smiles. Though sometimes one might see a glimpse of the cheerful, jovial person that he used to be.

Former schoolmates: Victory was a Hufflepuff from 1870-1877, played on the Quidditch team from 71-77 and was captain for 75-77. He helped Hufflepuff take Qudditch victory both years that he was captain. He was a fun-loving, cheerful, friendly, will help you out if you need it type of guy. He was not Out at this time and was upper class.

Friends & Such: If any stuck around from his school days? New ones that don't mind that he is a known gay man, spent two years in an asylum (1884-1886) and got disowned in 1886, making him fall from the upper class to middle class? He isn't really seeking any, if I am being honest, but he needs them and likely does have some.

Activist Stuff: Victory is a gay rights activist, feminist, beings rights activist. Considered very far left, I figure?

Former Quidditch: He played for the Falmouth Falcons from 1877-1882 when his promising career was shattered much like one of his knees were. He had a lot of animosity with some of his team members and one of the beaters of his own team is rumoured to have been the cause of his injury. He now walks with a slight limp that is much more noticeable on rainy or snowy days.

Romance: The man is widely known to be gay so is obviously not seeking marriage. Any potential affairs would be newly developed/developing. Men, obviously. He isn't looking for love but I like being contrary to my characters plans.

LGBT+ Community: Victory is the Secret Keeper to a secret hangout (think cafe, public parlour) for the Queer community (more details in his profile) that he created in 1891. It is very exclusive and hard to get into but he does so for the safety of the community in a time that is not friendly to them. One cannot get in without Victory allowing it. They also cannot "accidentally" gain entry as there are plenty of enchantments and safeguards to protect against that scenario. They are also unable to tell anyone on the outside who they saw there. Wheee. Let's see. I have Gus who is a few years younger but in his house, so they could have overlapped there. Obviously Gus is gay, but completely infatuated with Basil lolol. He wouldn't care about anything (well, in a way of being weary about him) that's happened to him, so they could be friendly?

I also have Reginald Alderton, a quidditch reporter, although he missed his career end by almost a decade haha. He's kind of nosey, so maybe he could write a "where are they now?" kind of deal of retired players, and Victory is on his list.

And a throwaway:

Atticus Foxwood is a couple years younger and would have overlapped at Hogwarts, but after the asylum and disownment, he'd want nothing to do him with him.

Obviously I have Harry, who, despite being in the closet and generally keeps his head down, aligns pretty well with his far-left activism. XD

My only other character who isn't currently a child if Fiona Little who is demi, but I doubt she's aware of it.

I can see him and Jude being pretty well acquainted on the lefty activist side of things! Jude has probably never openly disclosed his sexuality but lol Victory is still free to have his suspicions xD

Endymion Dempsey might have been friends with him back in school! They probably drifted apart in adulthood though, and he'd be polite now but not overtly friendly.

Nick Blott was also in his year at school! Not sure if they would have been close back then, and knowing his rep Nick wouldn't be publicly friendly with him now. But he would almost certainly be flirty and hit on him if they met on the down low... and then be the total opposite the next time they met. Very hot and cold, if that dynamic interests you. xD

Ester Montgomery is bi and a lot of the artsy-theatre-irreputable crowd she hangs with are probably also queer, so she would like to chill at the cafe occasionally if sex workers / other bad rep sorts are allowed (on their best behaviour). She would be v supportive of drag acts and ~artistic expression etc though.

Not sure how it would come to pass but I would love for Theo to be better introduced to the gay community sometime. He would obviously be entirely out his depth because he's ~new at this, but I think it would be fun. Maybe they've met through the quidditch angle? Idk.

One day Ari may also make use of this space however atm he is too deep into self-loathing xD

If he was friendly with Nick he was probably also passingly friendly with Ned, but Ned has no interest in flirting now xD He'd be polite if he met Victory in a professional setting (eg if he came into the bookstore for something) but would probably avoid him socially.

Ben Crouch would have been very friendly with him in the before times and wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole now, sorry.

Jules might be getting more in the revolutionary space soon so potential things there.
