Appearance: Lucas is a boy of average height, standing at 4'10". His fair complexion accents his hazel green eyes, blonde hair, and lightly freckled cheeks. He wields a willow wand with his right hand. Lucas tends to wear his school robes during the term, favoring them over traditional garments even when permitted to wear them on the grounds. During the summer months, he opts for lightweight and unrestrictive attire consisting of loose cotton shirts and cutoff breeches. He always carries with him a pocket watch that he received on his tenth birthday from his brother Thomas.

History:

[1880] Lucas Finch is born to Jonathon and Catherine Finch.

[1882] Lucas' mother opens the Croft Street Bakery, specializing in cakes, pies, and artisanal breads. Even as a toddler, young Lucas spent many hours by Catherine's side in the bakery.

[1885] Jonathon is transferred to the Ministry's Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office on account of his successful years as a Muggle liaison.

[1888] Thom graduates from Hogwarts and looks to pursue a study of magical creatures across the greater United Kingdom; Lucas bakes his first cake, with his mother's help - a lovely lemon buttermilk dessert.

[1890] Thom takes Lucas on a memorable fishing trip for his tenth birthday, gifting him a prized pocket watch; He leaves for Wales later that year to study magical creatures.

['91-'92] Lucas begins his first year at Hogwarts, where he's sorted into Hufflepuff like his older siblings before him. He is slow to make friends but eventually falls into a small circle of fellow Hufflepuffs. Everleigh joins her House's Quidditch team, playing the role of Keeper; Lucas and his friends enjoy watching her play.

Lucas' affinity for herbology is noted and nurtured by the Professor. His interest in magical beasts is also encouraged, and Care of Magical Creatures is slated for his future studies.

[1892-] Lucas begins his second year with bittersweet feelings; While he's excited to see his friends again, this year will be Everleigh's last at Hogwarts. Still, the youngest Finch is determined to make his second year even better than the last.

Personality: Lucas is kindhearted and loyal, a dedicated friend and a trustworthy ally. He's often touted for his curiosity and willingness to learn, traits that are reflected in his academic success. Both in and out of school, Lucas exhibits a strong affinity for herbology and the care of magical creatures. On account of his father's role in the Ministry's Muggle Liaison Department, Lucas has an empathetic and accepting disposition to non-magical folk, viewing them as equals. He can attribute his patience, creativity, and love of homecooked meals to his mother, a successful baker.

To those who don't know him, Lucas may seem shy or even timid at first. While he has a warm heart, the Little Bird is slow to make friends and often sticks to the same group of peers once he's established himself amongst them. He has been known to become distracted by his special interests, spending time that ought to be allotted for important tasks on extracurricular studies.

"C'mon, Little Bird!" Everliegh called over her shoulder.

She and her Quidditch friends had quite a lead on Lucas, but he pushed forward as fast as his legs could carry him. Even though he wasn't a member of the team, Everleigh and the older players had made something of a habit of sneaking the youngest Finch into the pitch to watch them practice before the game.

As he caught up to them, he panted, "So... playing Slytherin next, yeah...? Think you're ready...?"

Lucas grinned as the older Hufflepuffs returned his playful taunt with an outburst of "Ooh's" and "Aah's".

"We're more than ready," his sister quipped with a confident smirk. "Are you ready to watch us win?"

"You bet I am!" Lucas said, ducking beneath the canvas skirting and into the pitch.
