This was causing a scene, and Domitian was not the sort of person who enjoyed causing scenes. Not when he was at the center of them, anyway. His entire existence seemed to revolve around keeping a low profile, and giving his father no reason to reconsider anything about his will — he did not want it known, or said, that his daughter was too volatile to someday make someone a handsome wife. Nevermind that she was only eleven, and throwing a tantrum — this was not the image he expected of his family, or his children.
