My dear Elsie,
I write with news that you have no doubt been anticipating these last few weeks: I am delivered of a healthy little boy who I can only hope shares his father's compassion and honour. After some discussion, Mr. Keene and I have elected to name him Ewan Gideon; I am besotted not only with my son but with seeing how enchanted his father is. I have never doubted my husband to be a good father to the three children in our care, but seeing him with a child of his own blood makes me well up more than I should dare admit to anyone else!
Baby Ewan was born Monday, and I am recovering better than I did after my last pregnancy as I do not have the discovery of a family I forgot in a state of amnesia to contend with, and I had this babe safely in my own home, rather than in the local cemetery.
I should be delighted for you to visit when it is convenient for you.
Affectionately,
Odira
