History:

1880: After years of miscarriages and infants not lasting past a few months, a little girl is born healthy. She is not named until she is six months old as a result.

1881: It takes a little over a year for Mia to learn to walk, but the moment she does, the panic of her parents really starts in. Nannies have already been hired for night and day, but now the attention is growing even more heavy.

1885: Mia finally begins to understand that mother and father hovering so much is not entirely normal. All of her friends and neighbor children are so much more... fearless.

1886: Taking after another child, Mia attempts to climb a tree. Falls a foot off of the ground, gets a bad cut, and panics far more than any child her age would. Mother and father are hovering even more for weeks, especially mother - who does not have a job to go to. This seems to be a message from the universe, Mia is not fit to be daring. Her mother continuously calls this 'the incident'.

1890: Another girl moves into Irvingly. She's well-mannered and uptight. Mother hopes that she will be a good influence in terms of keeping her from having another 'incident' even if it did happen a little less than four years ago. Mia tries and fails to teach Charity the pianoforte. They end up being close friends anyway.
