I had this idea that Christobal could make extra cash by working as a photographer at events. Would magical cameras allow for someone to do that, or would photography at this point be only them working with those huge old cameras?

Furthermore, Christobal doesn't have the best reputation, but I assume that only people who mingle with him would know he's sketchy, not like, a society wife, who probably doesn't even know who tf he is.

  

'high speed' photography was already pretty common by 1890 (big explosion of powder but the photo is finished) so no need for long posing - they had been about for about 10 years at this stage.

Not sure about the rest, but the requirement for long posing, was passed and 'candid' photos were much more possible.
