History:

1871: Dorothy is the third child and daughter of Arthur and Marianne Finch.

1874: With the last of the children of the Finch family being born, Dorothy has no interest. The little one tries to follow Melody and Margaret around, though nanny is quick to make sure the toddler does not wander too far.

1875: Dorothy really hates nanny's dress. She can't stop thinking about it until it finally changes into a more flattering color. Her parents are quite proud of this development.

1877: A move to Hogsmeade is a bit ruffling for Dorothy. Less places to explore is not ideal.

1879: Melody leaves for Hogwarts, leaving Dorothy as the oldest in the house. She doesn't like it.

1883-1884: Dorothy and Arthur head to Hogwarts. Dorothy is placed in Hufflepuff. Not surprising really, but she really wanted to be in the same house as Melody.

1885-1886: Electives can now be chosen and Dorothy decides to go with Earth Magic and Care of Magical Creatures.

Summer, 1887: Melody begins having feelings for a one Reuben Crouch. Dorothy is ignorant of this until everything goes to ruin for the couple after being discovered by father. She's always admired Melody, and secretly wishes that she was as bold as her older sister. Though she does think that Melody is too good for him, not that she mentions this.

1887-1888: Fifth year comes OWLs. She ends up doing fairly well, especially since she did send letters to her older sisters when in need of help. Never one to be afraid to ask for assistance.

1890: With her first season fast approaching, Dorothy feels a certain amount of pressure already weighing on her shoulders to the idea of husband hunting.
