March 30th, 1895 | London Athenaeum
Now this was a place Dean felt a little too comfortable. He didn't get to the Athenaeum as often as he would like, he hadn't seen Eva in a while and frankly he was looking for something other than an adventure novel, mystery or language book. Of course he was still working diligently on his Dutch, but he needed a break every once in a while. Something positively scandalous would do the trick. Maybe he'd look for something for Hanna while he was here. For all her curiosity, he rather thought she could use some education outside of what he could teach her at present.
Dean was only interested in what the basement had to offer and so he made his way down without much ado; he'd been here often enough over the years that he rather thought he could be spotted as a regular. Being close friends with one of the ladies running it also helped. Moving about the shelves, ambling and scanning rather than actively looking, Dean was always amused by the titles and how they would become simple , unadorned books upon leaving. The secrecy was top-notch, something he could certainly appreciate.
As he rounded a corner, he finally spotted Eva, book open in her hands. There was nobody else about at the moment and they'd been friends for long enough that he had no qualms about his choice of greeting. He chuckled to himself and snuck up behind her, hands laid gently at her waist as he looked over her shoulder. "Bonjour Cherie," he hummed out with a kiss on the cheek. "What is it you've got there?" He asked he quickly tried to skim the page she had open.
