Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
He wouldn't call her a fool, and maybe he was just being polite, but most people had thought her foolish her whole life, so she appreciated it. "Thank you," she said, sitting up now that the wound was wrapped and she had not become nauseous. "I would certainly take an exterminator recommendation. I'm not sure I have a card for one, myself."
(She likely did, but changing things now that she was awake included changing anyone she had ever hired.)
Jack drafted up the directions to care for the wound and any side effects to be on the lookout for, in addition to gathering anything she would need. "I included a couple choices on the bottom of your instructions here." Jack knew one of them personally and he added the second for good measure. They'd taken care of something for his sister a while back and had seemed to do a good job.
After bundling everything up neatly, he turned back to her. "Just keep an eye on any swelling, redness or signs of infection, but you should be good to go." They'd gotten it in time to avoid any long-term side effects, so hopefully all would be just fine.
So there she was, with her hand fixed and an exterminator recommended. "Thank you, Mr. Collins," Seraphina said, with a bright smile. "I'll see you another time — hopefully under better circumstances."Hopefully. It would be silly to injure herself again, just on the possibility of seeing an attractive healer.
