After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
With the same account, complete eight different threads where your character interacts with eight different usergroups. At least one must be a non-human, and one a student.

Byron is the sort of person that keeps to himself and doesn't want much to do with anyone if he can help it. He was not always this way - he used to be quite vibrant and outgoing. Now, he is just trying to live through the next day. He then had a public breakdown at a party at the Museum of Magical Miscellany (where he was working at the time) and has never been the same since. The reason for said breakdown is unknown to others. You might also know him as being the brother of Ezra Applegate who had an engagement broken off a month before the wedding.
friends: likely people who stayed around before his breakdown. He didn't really discriminate though might have had more male friends then female ones.
school mates: Byron was a Ravenclaw from 1879-1886. He was a bit of a troublemaker but not overly so. He enjoyed fun and socializing. Byron was the type of person that is described as shining. The sort that can make you feel special in the world. In his second year a dormmate tried getting him to join the Quidditch team but to his great relief, he did not make it on as he is not especially interested in playing Quidditch. This role is open if you would like to claim it!
colleagues: From Summer 1886-August 1888, Byron worked for an art gallery with the intention of joining the Museum of Magical Miscellany when he hit the age requirement for curator. Thus shortly after his 20th birthday, he started working as a curator for the Museum. He left that job in 1890 after a very public breakdown during a party the Museum was hosting. Byron started working for the Daily Prophet as a photographer in 1892.
romance: Turning 26 this year, Byron is technically hurlable but he is also a Hot Mess™. He is also bisexual. I am pretty open with things here but he is not so open to things here. Throw things at me, lets see which noodle sticks. He likely had at least a couple of mostly innocuous school flings starting from the school year of 1884-1885 when he had his first kiss.
Zin here is the same age & was a Ravvie so they would know each other. I'm not sure they'd be friends, especially with her recent scandal xD
BUT, more importantly (I plan on bringing him back once I'm caught up xD) Reginald Alderton was his age and also a Ravvie. He's a crime & politics reporter for the DP, so they're coworkers anddd he was super into Quidditch at Hogwarts, so if no one else claims that one friend lol. He's also bi, and I am not opposed to a brief past fling for them.
Cliff was also around his age, but I don't see them interacting much.
He and Harry would have been roommates at Hogwarts, and if they were friends (and I mean, Harry would have seen no reason not to like Byron on his end, so XD) Harry would still consider them friends.

He had a whole ass breakdown and is considered 'crazy', he wouldn't have paid attention to Zinnias scandal tbh or even be aware of it since he actively stays away from most people. XD But he likely also doesn't socialize with her anymore but they could have been friends in their school days? He was very open and friendly then.
As for Reginald, woo yes! Any past fling of his would have been pre-breakdown of Summer 1890. He started working at the Prophet in 1892 and has not been especially sociable which would be a major personality flip in Reginalds eyes since he knew him for so long!

Lol sorry meant to clarify this but got side-tracked by Elliot -- Zelda I think was too Puff-focused with her male friendships to have known him well; I think Noble WOULD have been friendly but would have backed away significantly post breakdown.
