Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Started new journal. Volume IX was dropped in the potion I was making for Miss T. Hooper's arthritis. Managed to siphon off most of the potion, but couldn't do anything about the smell. Threw out Volume IX before remembering it contained the recipe for the potion I was in the middle of making.

Considering recent events (re: dragons, in case I reread these notes in the future after some other, still forthcoming disaster), I thought I'd make a batch of fire-proofing potions. Not much help now, but I've had one inquiry about it today, and there might be more forthcoming. If all else fails, I'm sure I could send them along to the Glen or or the Dragon Restraint Beareau.

Probably should not have gone into a trade of any kind if I'm going to feel guilty for profiting from things like this.

A short list of things tried last week:

- Tried to make a variation of the babbling beverage that made realistic animal sounds. Mostly for the amusement of it. Sort of worked, but tasted like chicken in liquid form, and, somehow, disturbingly, not like chicken broth. File under "never do again."
- Tried to make a potion for upset stomach that actually tasted nice. I don't want to talk about it. Failure.
- Made several batches of Felix Felicis to have in the lab in case of emergencies. Have been informed that my definition of emergencies is not the same as other people's.
