Leo grit his teeth together in favor of not rolling his eyes at her; of course she’d be the one to promenade around the park where people were getting murdered. It didn’t matter if she did it in a group or by herself because their murderer might just take them both out. He couldn’t help but ponder how many of the murders were just for show, and how many were actual targets with a purpose – not that was something he was going to have to think about. It was a fresh perspective.
He smiled then, with a deep desire to get back to his desk to look over the case files. Ignoring the jab at him, Leo nodded his head at her. “Thank you for the information ma’am. If we have any questions or find we need additional information, we’ll follow up with you at the Daily Prophet.” Then he waited for her to walk away before he turned his attention back toward Valenduris. “Have something I need to do. I suspect you can finish up here on your own.” Not that it mattered, because he was walking away anyway, making a beeline toward the entrance so he could go back to the office and see what new ideas he could drum up.
