Winnie Moony made the best hot cocoa and anyone who said otherwise could fight him. He wasn’t sure what she did differently, but the ratio of water to chocolate was perfect. Gus grinned at her as he accepted the mug without question, and instantly brought it up to his nose to take a big whiff of it. (How chocolate wasn’t his amorentia was beyond him as it was hard to believe that he loved Basilanything more than chocolate.)
Then he crawled into bed next to Winnie, careful not to jostle the mug as he curled up next to her. “It’s just… different. I kind of miss traveling? But I also want to be here for moments like this. I’m not missing out on anything else.” Gus hummed quietly. He let go of the mug and allowed it to float somewhere near the side of the bed as he turned toward her. “Do you wanna be the big spoon or the little spoon this time?” Some snuggles and a nap sounded wonderful before he had to go be a professor. At least he could pester Mason on a daily basis.
