Friends*,

Beau and I are pleased to announce the arrival of a son, Ronan Conall Miller, in the wee hours of July 17th after a long, but mercifully uneventful labor. Everyone is doing just fine an we would love to have visitors in the upcoming weeks. Or not in your case Phyri, which is completely understandable. He would of course, in true Miller-MacKay fashion, decide to arrive while we are on lockdown and therefore unable to receive assistance from the midwife, but Beau did splendidly and thankfully I have done this once before!

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Affectionately,
Eva

Dear Eva,

I’m glad you survived it in one piece, and what a welcome to the world for little Ronan. (Nice Irish name, that.) I suppose it’s too early for him to appreciate it, but I’ve sent along a gift with this letter* – and some whiskey in congratulations.

I’m sure I’ll come to visit soon, although to be perfectly honest I would rather have come to see the Acromantula. Pity about the lockdown. They wouldn’t let me in.

Love,
Porphyria

*fancy book of Irish folk tales (is it a children’s version or very dark and inappropriate? Porphyria doesn’t care xD)

Phyri,

Your gifts came at an opportune moment and we have been enjoying them immensely! Thank you! This books is something, I'm reading it myself, some of the stories to Nola, but they are a bit much. I do enjoy that many of them entail magical creatures however.

You are more than welcome to visit any time, we would love to see you, no holding babies required. I could use some adult conversation that is not my husband or my father fussing at me.
Affectionately,
Eva
