30 | Ravenclaw | UCPB |  Rep 9 | Spell Damage Healer (& Assistant Head) What to know about the Daphnels: wealthy and pureblood, but not on the same social tier as the Lestranges, Prewetts, etc; their family has only been in England ~4 generations so the really established families might see them as "newer." What to know about Victor: he's intellectual, curious, and generally easy to get along with. He loves and supports his family. He will be dead within a year. I am looking for all possible connections to make his transition from life to afterlife, whenever it happens, more interesting. Things I want: Hospital connections: other healers, folks in/around the hospital, etc. Victor is also interested in magical theory and would absolutely perform spell damage experiments on toads or something if he could stomach the thought of intentionally hurting animals but he can't :P But anyone with similar interests/research areas/etc would be of professional interest to him! Friends: Members of Atlantis or Excalibur (he was booted last summer but was a member previously) are most likely, but MC folks wouldn't be out of the question either, particularly if there's a professional reason for them to interact or if they were friends in school. Family: They have little blurbs. Their lives will be interesting. Please play them <3 Especially Brother #2 or poor Bea. ROMANCE! Victor plans to marry this year because he promised his mom he would :P Romantic, right? Anyway, there could be legitimate feelings here or it could be more of a business arrangement. Either way I want to get him attached to someone. The degree of attachment that exists when he dies is up for debate! Could be courting, engaged, or even recently married depending on how things go. Come love me <3 Reqs: UC/MCAB female, 17-28. ... other romance? Victor's bi so, y'know, I'm open to stuff if you're open to getting emotionally invested in a guy who is about to die :P Sounds like fun right? Trauma all around?  Romance but for his sister At this point, our expectations for Bea are not high, and getting her married is Victor's biggest priority after getting himself married. If you have an UC bachelor/widower who isn't looking for a stunning conversationalist or magnanimous hostess in a wife, we could talk. Even if you are looking for those things, we could still talk... you'll just probably end up looking elsewhere :P Another plot thread that could still be applicable: BUSINESS VENTURE: Our characters were going to start a business/ invest in something together and now my character's death has... complicated things. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character has any unrealized business/charity/etc interests, or your interested in a career change for them. Also I like the idea of him getting a ridiculous pet so if you have candidates or folks who would be in a position to offload something weird/potentially dangerous on him, let me know

Leo & Desiderius Morgan were in his year but both were Puffs. Timothy Ainsworth was a Ravenclaw in the year above him.

@'Natsuko Mountbatton' - would definitely have an interest in the family because of her general interest in someone else 'not english' and just generally being crazy rich asians.

An alternate could be Christabel because Ozy's vague threat about not running a home for wayward writers has her pretty anxious to not be reliant on him should something happen to her father.

If he went very much off the wall - Madeleine Backus is a romance/marriage option, depending on how you plan on him dieing if could be very dramatic and complicated post death. She would also work for the ridiculous pet contact.

Thaddeus Flint could be a potential for Bea's romance - he wants a wife he can control, so someone like her would definitely be someone he would target, he might not end up with her, but would have shown some interest in the family and her.

If you still want to do the Business plotline - then Honoria's dad is an option to work with.

Unfortunately I don't have any ladies to offer Victor, maybe in the future if he's still looking by then.

Fortunately, I can offer Edgar Minks for a business venture. He's very much into investing in current, new or upcoming business ventures that have a good chance of succeeding. Having Victor die before it's complete would require some scrambling on his part. I can't promise Edgar will still be around in a year... do to other potential events which may get him arrested or killed. Still can do the early stages if that appeals to you. Edgar is also a potential husband for Bea if Victor isn't against marrying her to upper middleclass Pure Bloods.

As I see Thaddeus has been offered as a potential husband for Bea, Malcorvus could be involved in arranging meetings etc...if he approves of Bea as suitable for his son. In the end Malcorvus will support his son's decision either way.

Malcorvus could be somebody Victor will want to consult regarding magical research. It's pretty much common knowledge he's done extensive research into magic and teaches advanced magic at the Flint Institute.

Lastly, Terence Higgs could be a potential male love interest. Terence isn't against romance with men, he typically goes with what feels right at any given moment so Victor would have to make some kind of impression on him. They could meet at an art gallery or if Victor is artistic already, he could sign up for advanced art classes with Terence, he has them during the summer.

Yes Leo <3 Noted on all the rest. I could see him being friendly acquaintances with Timothy because it's good to have a librarian friend when you're an academic, but they probably don't go to many of the same parties. Desi and he are members of the same club so probably also on friendly terms but Victor isn't living that debauched life lol.

Took your open for Chris! I'd love to explore something with Natsuko also if you want. He has an open at her party if that suits you. I would also looooooove to thread him and Thaddeus because on the one hand that really rubs him the wrong way but on the other he's kinda desperate? Hahaha. Could be backdated too if you'd rather him express an interest when she's more "fresh" as a deb.

I think he could be friends with Endymion if you don't think Endymion would mind that one of Victor's love languages is light-hearted teasing. But being very close in age and members at the same club I think they could definitely be friends. It has been established that Victor does a good job of keeping in touch with people via letters when they're traveling abroad too xD

He thinks Porphyria is strange.

Re: Estelle, he would like to know your reasons >:/ (I'm being silly but actually that would be a hella amusing thread premise for me because Victor has a lot of barely earned confidence lol)

And I'm actually very intrigued by Rommy here. I've been having this argument with Victor's muse over whether he's a bit sexist or not and he assures me he respects women, he just hates debutantes, so — any opportunity to get to know someone outside of that would be lovely. They're at different hospitals but if you're up for it, we could say one of Victor's healers has to take a week off to recover from something and St Mungo's sends her to help? I am imagining Victor going from :D thanks for coming! we're so happy to have you! to :/ you're not even spell damage??? in the space of three minutes and it seems fun <3
