Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

When she received the letter, George, frankly, was not certain what she was meant to do with it. She was not a proper guardian, not yet—she was supposed to have months, still, to figure out how to look after her brother! Still, the Ravenclaw could not exactly ignore the missive, jotting a quick "thank you for informing me" to the matron and penning another less stilted note to her (apparently wayward) brother.

Alex,
The matron of the orphanage wrote today. You did not mention when we met up over the Hogsmeade weekend that you had, as she says, "grown impertinent". I was disappointed indeed to receive such a report, and I hope that you will behave more fittingly going forward. Such behaviour will not serve you well at Hogwarts this autumn!

George was not their father. She would not act in anger. Instead, she ignored the missive (well, "ignored") until the next day.

Alex,
In four months, I will be your legal guardian. It will be my duty to be "annoying", if it keeps you from turning into a human nightmare. I will not inquire about the snowball; ignorance is bliss, or so they say. I will, however, remind you that how someone behaves is a reflection upon their parents. Do not give others cause to speak ill of the dead.
