Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I saw the Prophet this morning - are you all right? I'm sorry for the damage to the shop, that must be terrifying. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, anything at all.
Yes we're alright. I was in the greenhouse when everything happened, but my injuries were minor and mother was able to take care of them. Just some superficial cuts, though I will have a nice bruise on my ribs for a little while. The same cannot be said for the greenhouse itself, it will take some rebuilding and repotting of some of the plant casualties.
You know I would to have you come help if you could, but it keeps me busy if nothing else.
Thank you for writing to check in, it means a lot.
So far there seems to have only been some minor structural damage, Father has been able to mend most of it. Everyone else has gotten a majority of the plants repotted and relocated for the time being. There are some beyond repair though, that you may be able to use for your stores. If I can somehow manage to package it all correctly, I'll send it along, but you might have to stop by to pick it up.
Though that wouldn't be so bad, would it?
Thank you for the salve, it's helping improve the bruise dramatically. Miss you too, always.
Oh good I'm glad you'll be able to swing by, I think packaging it up would be tricky. It'll take me a week or two to dry everything the way it should be, but I'll let you know when it's ready.
I might be able to show you the project I've been working on in the meantime. Fortunately it was well away from the wall that was impacted my the explosion. It's very conveniently tucked away in the back corner of the greenhouse.
