So not much has happened in Quincy’s life since he was an active first year (and a bit into second year) on the site. He started as a firstie curiously discovering the wizarding world as a muggleborn who had dreams of being a surgeon. His early academic struggles in the wizarding world have worked themselves out just in time to start thinking about OWLs. He’s realized that becoming a healer sounds way cooler than a muggle surgeon. After all, the thing Quincy disliked most about the idea of muggle surgery was how messy it is, and wizards can use there wands to clean things. Plus, he realizes the potential of wizarding spells in addition to muggle surgical techniques could lead to more lives saved as infections are risky.

Quincy might now be older, but still expect fun adventures and confusions due to misunderstanding the wizarding world... This character tends towards comedic relief, but as he gets older will become more serious...

Friends: Quincy is a friendly sort and is open to all sorts of friendships. He cares about appearances and will definitely focus on trying to make friends in the middle and upper classes. Though he’s rather bad at hiding he finds some of the upper class things boring enough he’s happy he’ll likely never end up there like his older muggle sister did through marriage.

Quidditch: He was a chaser on the Slytherin House team as a firstie (and has been enamored with the sport the whole time he’s been at Hogwarts). To handle my OOC inactivity I’m having him quit at some point in second year, when I went inactive, and I hope to get him back into quidditch.

Career goals: He wants to be a Healer… Anyone else? He’d so love to work with others to study towards that goal - and learn more about how it works in the wizarding world. Any individuals giving charity health care to people need someone to carry things about he'll happily help... If St. Mungos has any internship/mentoring programs he wants in the minute he can apply... That's his current main goal, and this kid is ambitious once he gets a goal in his head.

Romance: This might be the year he realizes romance exists, but he's a bit immature so who knows... I'm rather open here and have no plans for him...

Long Shot: Quincy is enamored with anatomy and how biological things work. If anyone is cutting up animals or somehow has a cadaver they are working on if there is any plausible way to have Quincy assist it would be epic!

Electives: CoMC (as he's interested in animal anatomy too), 2 slots TBD

Clubs: CoMC, Potions, Flying, 2 slots TBD

I also have Lucy Tatting who is a fellow Slytherin in the year below him, though her ambitions are more focused on being The Best She Can Be. Your characters all sound like fun. I see you tossed Violetta into the 10K, do you want to toss them together in a thread and see how they hit it off. In some ways they are opposites as Q’s strengths/fascinations are in subjects she sees as cruder.

For Mason… Q is definitely in Herbology and I suspect things find their way into his cauldron from the greenhouses. His interest in the subject is very functional. Though if there are quite a few wizarding plants that if given the oppounity he would try to dissect ( a dead mandrake especially! )

As I write this… You wouldn’t happen to know of a dead mandrake that Q could try to dissect as that sounds like an epic thread starter idea if you'd be game for a Q/Mason thread..

Hello hello, I have Millie Potts here who would be a year ahead of him, so they would share core classes so far. She's also middle class and a BIG book nerd, especially fiction. She's also my nature person, who loves being in nature more than she exactly likes caring for it, so if you want to stumble across her on the grounds sometime we could do that. She's more reserved but does well as a listener for people with big mouths and/or ideas.

Ambitiously, I'll throw Charley Goode your way as well. She would have been in Gryffindor during his first year as well, and a fellow Muggleborn new to the magical world. She had to drop out after the first year, and now she hangs around Hogsmeade usually working at Montague's flower shop, and otherwise goes around doing street urchin things. She might be a foil or other interest if Q can handle dirtying his air with a working class gal. Available for all Hogsmeade weekends and holiday breaks.

Q could definitely see Millie outside about as he likes being outside. I’m not sure how big of a talker Q is unless one gets him going which probably isn’t hard and once he gets going he probably keeps going especially if it is a topic that excites him.

While class is definitely somewhat important to Q… I could see him making working class friends as a firstie especially if they are muggleborn and experiencing the same shock as he did coming into the wizarding world. Though he did likely try to impress those of the middle/upper class kids as he was definitely coached to do his whole life by his parents. I think the whole idea of a muggleborn going for first year, and then ending up a street urchin in the wizarding world might freak him out a bit. Yes, I know it is likely common, but the shock of it could have created a slight bond. I also imagine he’s slightly sheltered from the reality of what “street urchin” entails…. This could be fun…. Definitely would need a base of a firstie friendship, but beyond that we could just toss them together and see…

With the ambitious toss want to see how Q/Charley interact… When would work good for you time wise for a thread there as I imagine you have alot of Hogsmeade Weekends ( Q likely goes home to his family for breaks and only makes short trips to London wizarding areas during breaks )

Yeah, any Hogsmeade weekend would work. And I'm good with Q and Charley being early friends first year. Both muggleborns, I think she'd like his determination in the face of failed spellwork. I'm wondering how far his willingness to try things would push him (and if Q can't come up with an answer, Charley has a few).

If he has any reason to wander into a flower shop, even for Herbology purposes, that could be a setup. Or Q could find Charley on any random rooftop, haunting the park, playing gobstones on the street, inviting herself to outdoor buffets, or various other places. I can have Charley happen upon him, too, if that works. You can throw me a thread or a DM on discord if you want to plot further.

I tossed Quincy on a rooftop using a dare… As far as his willingness to try things, he’s adventurous... Though unless it is a spur of the moment idea or something that even in a convoluted way could help him become a healer/surgeon regrettably Quincy isn't an idea maker...

Ollieeeee~~ Belatedly, but welcome back!!!!

I have ...... Greta Gillenwater for you, another Muggleborn MC'r.. and they and Quin met in a dead thread when Quin was trying to fly for probably the first time. She's became a Seeker last year and continues to hold her position this year. She's also in COMC with him - and becoming a Healer is one of the occupation ideas she entertains as her deceased father was a doctor (she's not set her heart on it, mostly because her stinky brother graduated and is currently doing his training to become a healer and it would look like she's copying him); she has a few others ideas; not limited to Ministry Staff member, Archaeologist, Auror etc. but is currently choosing her subjects based on how rounded they make her.

Morgan Valenduris is a second year Slytherin... thats her contribution to the list.
