I hope you remember but you told me to owl if I ever have need of anything. So here I am. Owling.

Your potion worked a bit too wonderfully so I've had to come up with some other excuse to have need of you I'm afraid. And what I've landed on is that I am of need of your charming company for tea.

Locklyn MacCoinnich

Attached is the address of his London flat and a small bundle of flowers comprised of peach blossom and daffodil.

Mr. MacCoinnich,

The flowers are lovely, thank you, I adore the colors. However, I am not quite so sure what it is that I am to do with this address. You say tea, but what sort of lady do you take me for? How will my charming company be of use to you?

I think when one receives an address and an invitation one is meant to go there, Miss Whitby. I know - how shocking of a concept! And even more shocking - company's use is often mutual enjoyment for both parties.

And what do I take you for? How about a beautiful woman who knows what she wants?

Mr. MacCoinnich,

You are right on one front, I am a beautiful woman who knows what she wants. I should think I would like to know more about you before I accept your invitation. I did enjoy our visit, as brief as it was, but I'm also not in the habit of showing up to an offered address simply after some careful flattery.

Well, what do you want to know then?

Mr. MacCoinnich,

Tell me something that's going to make me feel more comfortable accepting your invitation.

Or, I suppose, what made you want to be an Auror?

What can I say that will make you feel more comfortable that won't make me sound like a manipulative ass?

So I'll just answer your question.

I became an auror because my father threatened to cut me off and it sounded cool to chase bad guys around and get paid to duel. But honestly, it's a lot more paperwork than I bargained for.

Why did you become a healer then?

Mr. MacCoinnich,

That works.

I'll tell you in person. I have this Saturday off, does that suit?

Mmm so you want to leave me hanging then? I see how it is. A bit of a tease are you?

Saturday is perfect. Though I suspect anything with you might be perfect.

Just owl when you are on your way over, Miss Whitby.
