My dearest and nearest baby boy, and the obsession of the ages... Meet Callum Finnigan! Cal is a Gryffinpuff through and through and for a hot second there we were both worried about where he was gonna land, lol. In terms of personality, he's very sweet, slightly awkward sometimes and very motivated to protect those he loves. He's a quidditch buff and can't wait to try out for the team this year/befriend anyone he possibly can to talk about Quidditch, and he tends to scribble his inner-most throughts into a notebook he carries around with him.

In terms of background, Callum was born in 1880 as the first and only son/heir to the Finnigan line. Fourth generation Irish, Callum is born into a rather politically motivated family. They are “new money” that came onto the upper class scene only recently; Traolach Finnegan works in banking and built a successful empire he hopes Callum will one day inherit and expand. The family’s politics are aligned with the socialist movement that has started to rumble across Ireland, and Traolach is an increasingly interested member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. (Over the years this flavors Callum’s view of England and manifests very young as fanaticism for the Ballycastle Bats.)

This year Callum is both anxiously looking forward to Hogwarts and nervous. While, as stated, he can’t wait to be allowed to try out for his house quidditch team, the idea of making new friends worries him a touch. He’s never actually had to make friends with those in his own class and the thought alarms him. Compound the alarm with the fact that most of the other students will be English and, well, he’s a touch mortified.

-- Lincoln Dashwood is in his year but does not personally have much interest in Quidditch. Not yet known which house he is in yet.
-- Eros Mohr is in his house and is a year above him. He is also a Quidditch fanatic and has been on brooms since before he could walk. His dad was captain of a Pro-Quidditch team which is who he inherited his love of the sport from. He would absolutely befriend anyone who also loves Quidditch (though he is friendly in general, tbh).
-- Alcyone Slughorn is an older girl in his house and is on the Quidditch team.

All my other students are considerably older but all are on their house Quidditch teams so if he follows the school games, will be people he is eventually familiar with:
-- Paxton Fudge is on the Puff team.
-- Nicodemus Dursley is captain of the Ravenclaw team.
-- Leander Hobday is also a sixth year prefect on top of being on his house team. He is also the male Leisure Sports Club president if Callum joins it.

Quincy is friendly, but awkward being Muggleborn and is getting more adapted to the wizarding world. Quincy will befriend anyone that will befriend him - and even some who don't like him.

The only thing he took naturally in the wizarding world is quidditch somehow making the house team as a first year after being obsessed with flying when school started last term. When Quincy will obsessively go for goals but is distracted when quidditch is mentioned.

YAS to all of them, but one at a time lol. I've literally sold every last piece of my soul to the devil in threads and have reached even the Fox limit, which was not formerly thought possible rip. I think Cal and Eros can definitely have a good foundation to start from first, maybe even the day of try-outs? I think they'd both going for Beater so we can do a pre or post try-out thread and see how they click! I want him to have a whole bunch of friends so when he looses his cat they can be like um... this is yours. So always.

Ahhhh Quincy is the cutest thing in the world, I'm obsessed! NGL I may have stalked him when I first joined months ago and he's just so precious. 100000% Callum would befriend him, even if he is a Slytherin. I say we chuck them together and just see what happens lol. ALSO OLLIE I don't think we've ever threaded! <3 I'm so excited about this!

We're not allowed to do school threads yet but we could definitely do a post-tryouts later when it is closer to the date and we see what kind of setup the Captain has for Gryffindor tryouts. <3 Alternatively we could do a Link/Callum train thread. Eros wouldn't be on the train since he lives in Hogsmeade.
